Karol Billik
Founder of NoteWall
I’m Karol — the solo founder behind NoteWall, an iPhone app that puts your notes, goals, and reminders directly on your lock screen wallpaper.
NoteWall started from a simple observation: we pick up our phones up to 352 times a day (per Asurion research), but most of those pickups end in distraction instead of focus. The lock screen is the most-seen surface we own, and almost no one uses it intentionally. NoteWall fixes that — you see your priorities every time you glance at your phone, before you ever unlock it.
What I write about
- Lock screen productivity — using the screen you see most as a passive reminder system.
- ADHD-friendly focus systems — visual cues that bypass working-memory limitations.
- iOS Shortcuts and automation — practical workflows for iPhone power users.
- Goal tracking on iPhone — keeping long-term goals visible day to day.
- Honest app comparisons — how NoteWall fits alongside Things, Todoist, Apple Reminders, and the rest.
How NoteWall is built
Privacy-first. No accounts. No cloud sync. No tracking. Every note you write lives on your device and nowhere else. The app uses Apple’s Shortcuts as the bridge to your lock screen wallpaper — a deliberate trade-off that keeps the system simple and the data yours.
